  • poop, my cheapness, and betta fish

I haven't had time to come up with any real posts lately... I mean all I've been doing is posting pictures and stuff. Oh well. So I guess this is my semi update for you!

Today I ate two hot dogs for breakfast. Ughhhhhh. That did NOT go down right. I am sitting here in front of the computer, waiting for this storm inside me to die down. Tears will come out of my eyes at any moment. Last week I ate a Culver's hamburger for breakfast and the same thing happened to me. I think I am world's biggest idiot at eating right and eating healthy. Unfortunately, for the next nine hours I will be stuck STANDING as a cashier. The cash registers are the farthest things in the store from the bathrooms T___T

I'm trying to get more hours from my work place so I don't have to stay at home and mope around being bored. Usually on days I don't have to work I sit here on xanga for about five hours straight. I suck at life.

You know what dosen't suck at life?

    striped elastic waist tank dress

This dress. I want it. It's $22 at Gojane.com. Honestly, I'll never spend that much on an item of clothing so I will probably only drool at pictures of this dress until I die.

Since I am soooo effing cheap I will probably get a $10 wedding dress. Speaking of which, even at Salvation Army they are at least $20.

Anyway, I'm just kidding. I'm not THAT cheap but I do love a good bargain. Here are some recent steals:

    043 by you.

$7 tote bag from J Crew. I bought it to the lake the next day. After taking like four photos none of them would show off how pretty the purple really was. Bummer, cause well.. it rocks. And how many of you can honestly say you've found anything at a better price than this at J. Crew?

    099 by you.

I got these a few days ago at Tyler's. They were only $5. Marked down from like $40. There were other styles for $5 but I believe I chose the cutest.

OKAY. While we're still talking about how cheap I am, do you guys evere ask for discounts when you buy stuff? Like, if you see a tiny rip you're allowed to ask for a discount, right? Anyway, I shop at some of the stupidest places in order to get good deals. One example of a stupid place is Papaya.

You can read the reviews here but I can just tell you. It's basically where all baby mamas shop. I go in cause I'm attracted to the $3, $5, $7 sales (uh, HELLO? Who wouldnt?) but I have to navigate through strollers and teenage mothers giving additude to their boyfriends. Clothes are everywhere, it's pretty much an obstancle course. Everything is pretty ghetto. Even the "ghetto" girls at my school get prom dresses here. However, I really like this store can I can get some cute stuff that none of my other friends have. And it's not like I'm gonna wear a tank top every day so I don't reallly care about "durablity" or whatever everyone was complaining about on the review site.

Anyway, on thier $5 rack, they always have cute dresses but there's always something wrong with them. There's a giant sharpie mark down the front, all the buttons are missing, it's torn, blah blah blah. I see it as - aww, it's just one widdle rip! I can fix it :)

However, lasttime I went there were tons of holes on a similar dress (to the gojane one but it was alot crappier). I asked for a discount and they denied me one. Soooo gizzay, that was the closest they would have EVER come to a stupid customer buying something that looks like a dog ate.

Oh yeah since I have such a big heart for broken clothes, look what I got at Charlotte Russe last week for $6:

    173 by you.

It has a huge rip in the zipper but nothing I couldn't fix. That's why the cropping is so awkward. I just saved you guys from the classiness of a Care Bear bra (I hadn't yet fixed it). Also, the dress my friend is wearing is also $6 at a once-in-a-lifetime sale at Dillards. I seriously wet my pants when I saw it, I mean, it's cute and it was of a well known brand. AHHHH! Too bad it's too big for me but it looks SO CUTE on Ali.

Okay, let's stop talking about clothes.

As you can see from a few posts ago I got a new fish. His name is Arnold!

    006

However, a few hours after getting him I could tell that he's really sickly. I mean, you see in the photo? That's his default posistion. He never moves. Even when you tap on the glass and stuff. He even has this weird black stuff on his fins. It's kind of sad, but I didn't know what to do to help him.

I returned him and got another betta fish - GUSTAV!

My mom picked out Gustav and he was one of the liveliest ones in his cup. He wasn't sitting dead at the bottom, like everyone else was. He's been in his new tank for about an hour and he's swimming around all happy and stuff. Plus he's sooooo pretty.

    033

Anyway, I think I will conclude this post for now since I have to get ready for work. Did I tell you guys that they changed the CD? Now we have to listen to Spongebob shit mix. It's already stuck in my head and I have to listen to it for another nine hours.

    I like the fish.

Spongebob at work?  Well it's probably better than the radio station my boss made his stores listen to back in the day.  I remember the summer when Hanson came out.  They seriously played MMMBop every other song.  I mean they basically played 4 or 5 different songs an hour but they played each one about 2 or 3 times in that hour.  It was so bad.

Culver's for breakfast?  I don't think I could do that.  Their food is way too heavy for me.  I still remember being a kid and driving like a half hour just to get Culver's and then waiting in line for about half an hour to place the order.  Of course that was the first and only Culver's at the time.  Now there are a couple of cafes that they are trying to franchise.  This is a strange question but do the subways around you serve breakfast?

CUTE CUTE CUTE CLOTHES!!!!!!  i'm jealous!

    oh, and cute fish :P

@godfatherofgreenbay - I laugh at Culver's attempt to be classy. They try so hard to be more-than-just fastfood by having those guys come around with trays and putting big emphasis on their yogurt but at the end... they are just another fast food chain. The first Culver's was in Wisconsin?

Hanson's okay compared to listening to IM A GOOFY GOOBER YEAH YOURE A GOOFY GOOBER YEAR WERE ALL GOOFY GOOBER YEAH GOOBYGOOBYGOOBYGOOOOOOOOBY. This is the idiocracy that goes though my ears every day.

Nope, the subways here don't surve breakfast but I think they have pizza now... LOL. I don't know if anyone actually gets though, though. Do they serve breakfast in your state? Also do you have a Chipotle? That is one of my ALL TIME favorite chains. It is the favorite of many of my classmates as well. Sooo good. I had one for lunch today. While usually I try to eat things I REALLY LOVE slowly so I can savor every taste, this time I only had thirty minutes. Scarfing it down felt SO awesome. I love Chipotle and their chessyness and their yummy rice and perfectly cooked chicken. Mmmm. I could have another one. Their "burritos" are easily the size of at least five taco bell tacos put together and that's just the simpliest item on the menu.

Do you guys also have Taco Bell or Taco Cabana? They're favorites around here as well.

Yes, the first Culver's was in Wisconsin and it opened in 1984.  Then 3 years later it started to franchise.  One of my dad's friends was the owner of the third Culver's.  See when they first started there was more of an emphasis on the frozen custard and that stuff.  I don't really remember ever eating the butter burgers until much later.

OK so maybe Hanson is a little better than the Goofy Goober Song.

We have Taco Bells around here but to me they aren't that good.  Other than that the only Mexican food are sit down restaurants.  I think they are trying to get a Chipotle in around here but it is slow going.  This Mexican restaurant I went to last weekend had a burrito on the menu called The Mucho Grande and it was about the size of my arm.  Oh the Subway pizza...I have never tried it.  I guess then the Subway I go to is one of the only ones that I know of that features breakfast sandwiches.  They are pretty decent too.  You can have them on the regular footlongs or on croissants.  They are primarily an omelet and you can add like bacon, ham, or steak.  We had this one fast food chain around here that is no longer in existance called Taco Time and they had this huge clock on the outside of their buildings and the hour hand was a taco and the minute hand was a burrito.  I forgot that we also have the bootleg Mexican fastfood Taco John's.  It's like if Minnesotan people made Mexican.  I think they only season stuff with salt, pepper, garlic, and onion, but they have an awesome meal called a 6pack and a Pound.  6 tacos and a pound of these things they call potato oles which are seasoned tater tots.  I am getting hungry now.

I love betta fish! I'm not much of an animal person but bettas are so pretty. I used to keep several fish when I was younger, but after they died I kinda...never got any more. I'll probably get some more when I move out.

I miss you, my lover twin! Gosh, those dresses you both have are ADORABLE. I love it. Plus, I think you need to learn to sew. Like, big machine and all. Then you can be as cheap as you like (although honestly, shopping is cheaper still). I do the sale thing too. And for diarrhea, you need to just hold it in until the pain settles, and you can usually get rid of it in one go. Hahaha! Gustav is the prettiest betta fish in the existence of the world.

@godfatherofgreenbay - Yeah, Taco Bell is the suck but mexican places are really popular here. Maybe cause I live in Texas? Oh oh oh do you have Wataburgers? The first Wataburger was where I went to vacation a few weeks ago, but still in Texas.

OMG. When you get a Chipotle it will not be slowmoving at all. Every Chipotle here in Austin has boomed and have reached out to help schools with fundrasising and everything. It's just everyone's number one choice for lunch, I think. When I go off campus for lunch I run into like half my class at Chipotle and like a huge chunk of office workers. Last week I went with my mom during my break at work and I saw a billion people from the strip mall where my workplace was in. My mouth is watering from just thinking about Chipotle!

A brewakfast subway dosen't sound too good. For me, I loooove breakfast sandwiches at Jack in the Box. it's this greasy, perfect blend of eggs, bacon, cheese and ham. I normally hate ham but in the "ultaimte breakfast sandwich" that i order EVERY time i go there, it's soooo good.

@chix0rgirl - Thanks girl! I MISSED YOU! I would LOVE to learn to sew but usually I just do it by hand. Also, Ellen is like the sewing fanatic at my house, she fixes all our jeans and alters stuff for us. But she also CHOOSES to mow the lawn and stuff like that. Hehe it's like having a handyman at my house.

Bleh I rather never get rid of it! I usually laydown until it's calm. I hate how my butt feels after that. Heh. Too much information? I'd probably stop there but knowing you, you'd probably post a video of someone talking about his butt and contrubute to the conversation. Hahahahahaha. Remember that huuuuuge spider bite popping video you showed me? Scarred me so much!

  • its_me_katie

@northseasugar - Yeah, and they're so easy to take care of. :)
