  • fb politics

I always delete facebook friends... but the same ones ALWAYS request me back. I delete people that I don't know very well (I mean, they might go to my school but I've never talked to them) or people who I don't really like (why would I add someone who I already don't like...? It's just going to make it easier for me to go to their page and make fun of them or something, so I try to stay away from that business as a whole).

I don't know what to do! They keep requesting me! Ahhhh!

This one guy I BARELY know re-adds me all the time. I always deny but then a week later, he'll add me again. I think it's just cause he didn't think he requested me to begin with? Same with these other girls - it's always the same two. I don't really know them, which is why I don't want to add them yet they always request me back....

I don't understand people. I seen no point of adding someone I don't know. Just cause we add eachother, dosen't mean we'll start talking or hang out more often. Or maybe it's some girl who has always been in my classes and never felt compelled to talk to me in class. Never attempted to be my friend. Why should I accept them on fb?

The politics of facebook is so complicated. Hahaha.

I have a thing about not using my real photo because I don't like putting myself out for display.  Anyway for awhile I had a photo of Tony Soprano as my profile pic.  I started getting like 15 friend requests every day.  These people then would write me notes saying how much they loved my work.  No my name isn't Tony Soprano nor is it James Gandolfini, the actor who played Tony S.  They just saw the photo and thought I was a tv star.  I would get emails from women thinking that they were talking to the actor and said some pretty classy things like how much they wanted to...yeah.  Then I change my photo to a Native American and people asked if that was my next role.  People are idiots.

sometimes i add out of courtesy, like i dont want to hurt their feelings.  but then like a day after i add them i delete them because they never check up on me anyways so they wont know i unfriended them...

i recently deleted 100 fb friends because i realized i didn't really know them.  -_-

@godfatherofgreenbay - Wow... that is HILARIOUS. hahaha. My full name is the one of a d list celebrity and that used to be my email, too. it was katielastname@yahoo.com, cause it was one of my first e-mails ever. You will not believe the amount of fan mail i got!

It is a very different dynamic than making friends in real-life. I mean, I have people who I never talked to before add me on FB just because we were in the same grade in high school and knew of each other.

It's just complicated, but I would willingly add anyone I have become aquainted with.

@figachewy - I used to be like that but then later, when my friend count was an unusually high number of 500, I decided to delete people I don't know well and keep it just for close friends, people I'd actually chat and talk to reguarly. Also, I hated getting updates on my minifeed from people whom I don't care about.
