  • ab time!

When I'm at the gym, the main body part I work out is my abs. It's cause my legs are already beyond muscular and my arms.. are just another story. My arms are so weak it's not even funny. I always have to set the machine at the lowest possible weight just so my arm can get a good work out. It's embarassing and it's even more embarassing how sore my arms feel after that. Haha. Okay point being, I'm obsessed  with toning my abs because I love the feeling of having good, strong abs.

A few days ago I went intense on these suckers and the result was awesome. They were hard and I spent much of my free time poking them. I also get the people at my work place to come feel the hardness.* Sweet!

However... I have been experiencing lots of pain there. I don't know if what I'm eating affects it but I have been seeing the toilet alot lately. My abs still hurt, even though it's like three days since working out.

I don't know what to do. I don't really have any friends who go to the gym, either. So I don't know what's up with my body.

I would lay off for a while.  You probably strained or pulled something.  Rest your abs and don't go so intense all the time.  When I coached weightlifting I would have the kids work arms one day, legs the next, and then midsection the third and then back to arms or upper-body.

@godfatherofgreenbay - I thought you could only pull tendons and stuff like that, aka stuff in your arms and legs? And occasionally neck?

girlfren, i'll go with you!!! 'cept the only thing about execise/etc for is that, i really want some sun exposure b/c my skin is freaking so pale and going to the gym is for dance/classes..i've never tried the actually machines...cept the treadmill and cycling one..:[[

when do you go usually? we'll really have to plan something...
i'm sorry your tummy/abs hurts. :P maybe it's lactic acid buildup? (lactic acid is produced when your body uses anaerobic respiration or something..)...mehhh i do know that when your side hurts, after running for a while (you knoww?), it's b/c of lactice acid buildup in the kidneys or sth...
ps. do you go to wednesday night prayer meetings at josh and char's?

No you can pull all muscles

If it makes you feel any better, I just started a new workout for volleyball - and I was straining on the arm curl with the lowest weight possible. My arms still hurt, ha ha... just keep working out and before you know it, you'll be adding more weight.

@sestina_girl - no i don't go to prayer meetings. to be totally honest i try to stay as far away from the whole.. light house crew if you know what i mean. i mean it's awful enough being friendless every sunday but imagine PUTTING myself in that kind of situation. i think i can feel more of God's love at a strip club then around those people.... yeah. but if you want to go i'll be happy to go along with you! i've never been to a prayer meeting so sounds ... alright.

LOL i saw your mom the other day. such a cutie! i wanted to do that class but NOBODY wanted to go with me. so embarassing right?

You have to have a balanced strength..... try some squat and deadlift to work out your back as well. you can find videos on youtube that teach you how to do it.  After a while they are fun and make you feel so good!
