  • recent photo attempts

    050 by you.

I saw this at one of my favorite stationery stores and it made me laugh. It reminds me of my mom cause she drives this huge van and drives all of my sisters' friends around. I wanted to buy it for her birthday.

    012 by you.

For a while, I've had this idea for a photo. I really wanted to do it for a long time so yesterday, I actually got off my fatass and attempted it. I had to use a ladder on self timer, since my dad broke the tripod (funny story, I'll save it for later). My original sketch of how I wanted it to go down was like this:

    Untitled

We'd be sitting on a bench or something, and I'd be wearing a cute dress or something and it'd be a really... cute photo. We'd be staring at eachother, smiling, all cute-like (Yeah, I'm running out of adjectives. Hahahaha). Anyway, the problem with this idea photograph was :

    1. cute clothes = not so cute after contact with my dog
She gets hair and dirt on everything. A big I WANT TO GIVE EVERYONE IN THE WORLD A HUG kind of dog. So I had to go with jeans and the basic stuff I wouldn't mind getting dirty.
    2. my dog is a serial humper
I got humped about seven times during my attempt for this photo. I will never ever sit down near my dog ever again in my life. This "kneel" or whatever you want to call it is the closest I will ever come. Heck, even standing is not a good idea around my dog

Annnnd... there you have it! All in all, it turned out alright. The main point was for us to look at eachother and the viewer gets a man's-best-friend kind of feeling.

Wow, you plan your photos.  I just point and click.  There were some photos I took this weekend while driving past a military base.  I just clicked and hoped they turned out.  I caught a jet taking off.

A serial humper...I wish I had a way to transfer my video of my frat house's dog humping a blanket and eventually the only command the dog knew was hump.  We would say hump and he would run and bunch up his blanket and go to town.

@godfatherofgreenbay - Well, I don't plan every one, but occasionally I have an idea that I want to excute perfectly, and that's where the planning comes in :D Most of the time I just point and click like you do.

Driving while taking photos? Sounds dangerous! Hahaha I can imagine the newspaper headlines... lol.

Geeze... I wonder why dogs hump and no other animals in the world do. But your frat house had it's own dog? I can only imagine the craziness this dog endured, inflicted by college kids... haha

I think that dog drank more beer than some of us.  We also found out the hard way that we had to keep all hard liquor inside cabinets.  Oh and we couldn't walk him in the state park because for some reason he knew where to sniff for wild marijuana and would start to eat the plants.  He was truly a party animal.
